How two dogs changed everything.
Our homemade dog food journey began with the health struggles of Jamie's two dogs, Max and Sua. Max, a Goldendoodle from a well-known breeder, suffered from severe allergies that caused constant yeast infections in his ears. Sua, a rescue dog from Korea, struggled with multiple allergies, stomach issues, and digestive problems.
Despite trying many premium and 'high-quality' dog foods, their conditions continued to worsen. They were dependent on medications and still could not live truly happy, comfortable lives.
With over 38 years of experience in quality and compliance within the biotech and pharmaceutical industries, Jamie decided to take a closer look at the ingredient labels. She was surprised to find numerous additives and preservatives designed to extend shelf life — even in premium brands.
That's when she began researching what dogs truly need nutritionally. After a year of studying and carefully experimenting, she developed recipes that significantly improved her dogs' well-being. Friends and family noticed the change and asked if they could get the food for their own pets.
That's how MaxSua was born — out of love, experience, and a genuine desire to help other dogs in our community thrive.
